Japan White goods market growth

Shipment pf white goods** in January increased for 4 consecutive favorable sales of air conditioners. The Japan Electrical Manufacturers Associations(JEMA) announced on January '25 that domestic shipments of whith goods in January icreased by 4% from the same month last to 173.4 billion yen. This is th e fourth consecutive month of positive growth. High-proced air conditioners and washing mashines sold well/ Air purifiers were also strong due of infectious deseseas.

Shipments of air conditioners increased 10% year-over-year to 46.2 billion yen. Unit shipments were 8% to 550,000 units the third highest single month in January on record due to the cold weather in Januar anfd JEMA explained that @the use of air conditioners as heaters is taking root even in areas where oil heater are used such as northern Japan
